Great game with incredible potential, with continued updates I have no doubts that the game will eventually explode in popularity. My only real gripe are the balls being hidden behind an unlock system. I think this mechanic just makes the game less accessible for no real reason. My recommendation would be to make achievement unlocks cosmetic only, I believe that would still give casual players a good incentive to keep playing. Enemy balls are already a different color than yours, so I recommend starting with a simple change in ball color as a base for the first achievement cosmetic change unlocks. For more competitive/seasoned players, a ranked mode would more than suffice in keeping them playing. Honestly though, the game is already super addicting just the way it is achievements/cosmetic unlocks or not, can't wait for more updates.

As a professional winner I disagree, Taking away the content from achievements ruins the core idea of the game. It was Contrived in this way to make the game more unique in the Autobattler Genre, My second point is that the unlocks don't inherently break the balance of the game, most of the unlocks are purely for fun as they are underpowered purely for casual play. This game is balanced to fit more towards casual play than not, this is the reason why I'm okay with achievements locking balls, it also diversifies playstyles encouraging players to try new builds. I see this as a complete positive gameplay mechanic. Opinions?  --Edit, A ranked mode would become very stale and generic it isn't fitting for this game. You would only see snowball leach, or necromancer splitball, with the occasional King ball. And that contradicts the diverse options in the game aswell as halfing the current playerbase into casual and ranked players.

I didn't just suggest removing the content from achievements, I'm suggesting to change what type of content it is, so skins instead of game altering unlocks. What sets this game apart from other auto battlers is the fun rotating ball simulation system, not the achievements. Almost every game has achievements (including auto battlers) and unlocks. On the topic of locking balls away diversifying builds and ranked getting stale, those are issues that are resolved through proper balancing. If the balls are simply balanced properly over time, a wide diversity of builds would come naturally. The game is pretty new, I'm not personally expecting the developer to get the balance right immediately, but eventually they certainly can. Attempting to patch the issue by forcing options out of players hands, neglecting to fix the actual underlying issue, balance, is just a temporary solution that cannot ultimately keep players interested in the game for any real meaningful amount of time. I agree that ranked would split the player base, but one of the best strengths of the auto battler genre is not having to fight players builds in real time, all it takes is a few players to give you a seemingly endless variety of builds to play against. Like I honestly mostly meant the ranked thing as something they could add later down the line after filling the game up with content first, but if they honestly wanted to, they could add it at any point and it would be perfectly fine for the above reason imo.

There can never be true balance, there will always be a meta, once one thing is balanced a new strategy will appear. No matter what game you play this will always be the case. I hate the idea of working for cosmetics, It seems very lackluster to me, as someone who doesn't hunt for achievements I don't see a point in going for them, unless it's a fixation someone has they provide no value, I will still never budge on the idea to make achievements worthless it would also devalue the time I've already spent unlocking these. Now you typically don't see much meta progression in auto battlers these days, it's an interesting change, not only to mention that lectvs made the game this way!!! ---Edit Addressing your point regarding ranked with fewer players in the matchmaking. This would make building against a specific player's build meta... if you see where I'm going with this. It influences the balance of the game, but having different specialized game modes to play wouldn't be bad overall.

If you care more about the time you spent (having fun btw) unlocking some balls on a completely free game that has brought you hours and hours of entertainment being "devalued" (even though now you're being given skins for free on top of having had early access to these balls) more than you care about the game's genuine well being, if that's truly the angle you're coming from at this, then I think this discussion is a waste of time and maybe you should reconsider whether you're trying to actually help make the game better or just attempting to cut your invisible "loses" lmao.

I wonder what type of motivation has sparked you to make such a conceited argument against me. Has it ever occurred to you that this is your opinion? the game may be better in your opinion, but I disagree. At this point you're just wasting my time, lets discuss my main problem with your argument. If I were to spend hours of time grinding a game to become level 100 only for it to be reset, yes I'd reconsider if this game is worth the time spent. You cant meet all your consumers wants, it's impossible. I Have Realised through reading your comment... That Not Once did you attempt to counterclaim against what I had wrote, devolving into using morals and ethics to persuade me rather than logic.

LMAO!! I was using my normal nick and trying to do the secret achievement of winning without losing 1 round for a long time, I put the nick last try and went to play without hope at the last attempt I'm very surprised!! I won the first 8 rounds VERY LMAO ps: I admit I'm very surprised and confused

Great game! My only problem is the 5 ball limit... Would be cool if there was a power up to increase it permanently or temporarily! Another though: a "bin" where players could put previously bought balls in so they wouldn't lose it, but they could combine other balls in the shop. For example, you have 5 balls in your squad. You have a 1 star snowball and there are two no star snowballs in the shop. You cant drag them out to combine them so you have to sell a ball to do it. This can be a problem so instead, you drag one of your balls to the bin and do the combining. Then you can re-add any balls from your bin back into the play area to get your 5 ball squad again. :D

I had the perfect build to get the secret achievement of winning without losing 1 round and my game just crashed, it will take me 1 year to get the luck to form a good build like this...

This is an amazing game! I love the balance of strategy and luck. My only gripe is the 5-ball squad limit. It would be cool if there was an item that you could use to increase it. Love your game!

Hey there, just had an idea that might be cool.

Additional tournament mode.  Hear me out.

So it starts the same way essentially, everyone has 4 lives and is trying to win by building the best team.  Only there is no win cap.  Instead your are ranked based on how many wins you've gotten, and your team and win/life amounts are saved even when offline much like your achievements.  That way you can come back online and fight again.  You can only fight people with the same amount of rounds fought just like the standard game, meaning if you are in the lead you cannot fight until someone battles their way to you.  They can fight your team while you're offline, but it only impacts their score and not yours.

You might be thinking that it would get really broken because of people using balls of ice and pickleballs to power up their team, but that is okay because there can only be so many people at the top and eventually someone will do it better and take top position.  This will restructure the top entirely each time because now the old best will lose to the new best and have to restart and restructure their team.


Okay maybe that would be dumb, just brainstorming a bit.

Does anyone know how to get the crown that is next to nick?

The crown next to your opponent's name means that they are a winning squad! (meaning, their squad eventually got to 8/8 wins!)

BRUH, I just fought myself with a nick bar difference, using the same strategy in a more advanced state (dead/summon) and I lost... to the past me with only ONE SPACEBAR difference.. I admit I'm just a little  VERY  outraged ;-;

I beat the 2 ball win achievement and did a second run with the same strategy to reinforce that it can be done.  Maybe give it a look :)

If you have better ways of doing it let me know, but this worked for me

I've come to love necromancer + splitters. It's such a fun combo and it works really well.

Yeah, it beats pretty much anything. I got 6 wins in a row with two star Necromancer + double two star Splitter + three star Zombie + Trainer

i havent been able to get the glitch ball, i repeated the zombie restock thing from youtube but nothing

Once you activate the glitch in achievements, then refresh your page, on your first set of balls you receive it must be the zombie. then restock 5 times. and the glitched ball will appear.

How do you unlock the glitching achievement?

Update: What the heck is happening? Why is there some arg type thingy going on? A QR Code led me to a YT Video of refreshing so many times it glitches somehow.

Update 2: I tried the method a few times and I got this glitched ball, I don't know why.

Update 3: At round 5 I got a glitched item, I put it on the glitched ball, I entered a new game entirely, there is a box puzzle, it may take me a few tries to finish.

Update 4: I finished it, a lab guy captured me, I got the achievement, but that is not my goal anymore. What is this code? When will it be repaired? What is going on?

I always lose to people who have insane stats, with no diverse builds, Ex: snowball, splinter, martyr but it's 14 rounds in. 

It makes me reluctant to go anything but snowball since it's the most reliable way to win being the easiest to scale stats with.


-Edit After using snowball ran a 1 loss full clear no draw run almost perfect, but second to last enemy had 15/19 ball

A decent strategy is Necromancer + Trainer summon. It might be a component of the splinter builds that you see, and it can stand up decently to Snowball if you get lucky.

What's the point of a damage stat if speed dictates whether or not it will even get that fast. If that's the case wouldn't it be better to consider increases their base speed dependent on their base atk?

The ball's damage stat is its base damage, which is multiplied by how fast its going relative to max speed. In general, during a round, most balls will be travelling at max speed, thus dealing their full damage stat on each hit! 😃

What if there was a item or ball called Purgatory, where it leaves them in a immobile state, but their health increases dramatically. You can unlock this buy getting 3 or more draws in a row.

Items and balls should not be locked behind achievements. It unbalances the game for new players. Otherwise its a fun game though, good work!

I agree with this point, but thankfully most of the unlocks are either not that good, or have a higher skill gap, so new players don't get overwhelmed (with a few exceptions of course!)

Will this be released on Steam in the future? I love the game but hate the commute.  Do you realize I had to open by browser, who known where it's been.

I apologize for the inconvenience, we're aware browser load times have been off the charts lately! What with everybody nowadays trying to open their browsers at the same time and causing a bottleneck...

After the next Auto Balls update (1.2), I'll be looking into putting this on Steam and mobile 😀

I played this game and had a great time! Thank you for making it! Bit confused on how positioning would work, and obviously not familiar with the meta so idk how people were getting 15 attack units, but overall really fun!

This was really cool! I won my first attempt by focusing on units that primarily buff each other's HP and damage (snowball, +attack at start, +att/def on death, etc.). I found this through GameCurator's article / YT video.
